That observation of being careful is justified in every way. Anyone who rides a motorcycle should know the inherant risk of riding and should be more aware than the ordinary driver. I always make it a pratice that when I ride to think ahead as far as the "what ifs" and I ride accordingly. Even at stop lights I check behind me and both sides and never go once the green light changes,,,there is always someone who thinks they can "beat" the yellow light. Prudence is the key to riding and I plan to ride for a long time. There will always be freak accidents and you can't always be prepared for everything,,,that is why they call it "life",,,,nothing is for certain. Bottom line is you live your life with the expecation that you are living it the way you want to,,safely and using good judgment.
